Vacuum cups have been at the heart of Mount Evo since the beginning. They’re what allow our racks to mount directly to almost any vehicle without roof bars, permanent fittings or a vehicle-specific mounting system.

Now, we’ve taken that same principle and made it electric.

Meet the Mount Evo Pro Vacuum Cup — our most advanced vacuum cup yet. Pro combines the strength and versatility of our original vacuum cups with an electronic pump, automatic vacuum regulation and live information through an integrated LCD display.

The result is a vacuum cup that mounts faster, looks after its own vacuum pressure and gives you more information while you’re on the move.

The biggest difference with Pro is immediately obvious when you use it.

Instead of manually pumping each vacuum cup, a single press of the button activates Pro’s electronic vacuum pump. Place the cup onto a suitable smooth surface and it automatically begins creating the vacuum required to secure itself.

In less than five seconds, you’re mounted.

Once optimum vacuum is reached, the pump switches off and Pro begins continuously monitoring the vacuum pressure. If the vacuum diminishes during use, the electronic pump automatically engages again to restore it.

There’s no need to manually maintain the vacuum. Pro takes care of it.

Always monitoring

Creating vacuum quickly was only part of what we wanted to achieve with Pro. We also wanted to give the vacuum cup the ability to monitor itself throughout the journey.

Pro continuously measures its vacuum pressure, automatically re-pumping whenever required to maintain optimum vacuum.

It means that from the moment your rack is installed to the moment you remove it, the vacuum cup is actively monitoring its own performance.

For the person behind the wheel, that means less to think about and a simpler experience from start to finish.

We’ve also added an integrated LCD display to every Pro Vacuum Cup.

The display provides live information directly from the cup, including vacuum percentage and remaining battery life. Rather than relying solely on a mechanical indicator, you can see exactly what is happening at each vacuum cup.

It’s a small addition that makes a significant difference to the way you interact with the rack.

Built for the journey

Pro isn’t just about making installation faster.

Each cup provides a 100kg vacuum break force, matching the holding capability of our manual vacuum cups, while the internal battery provides up to five days of continuous use in ideal conditions.

Pro is also IP65 rated, making it ready for the changing conditions that come with travelling with your equipment.

And should the battery become depleted while the cup is mounted, the vacuum isn’t simply released. The cup remains attached and is removed manually using the pull tabs, just like our original vacuum cups.

Pro, without starting again

From the beginning, Mount Evo has been built around modularity. We didn’t want introducing new technology to mean existing customers had to replace their rack.

So Pro uses the same M6 mounting point as our manual vacuum cups.

Existing Mount Evo vacuum cups can simply be unscrewed and replaced with Pro Vacuum Cups, with no additional tools or fittings required. That means Pro can be used across the Mount Evo rack system rather than being limited to an entirely new platform.
